My fabulous friend and fellow photographer Lyanne Wylde modelled for me yesterday for a Trash the Dress / Extreme Portrait shoot. We went to the Barbican, as it’s one of her most favourite places in London, and had such a great day! This is one of my favourite images from the day, but I have many more to share very soon.

Thanks to Richard for being my assistant, lighting man and general pack horse for the day x

Zoe + Lewis

May 14, 2009

I had the immense pleasure of photographing Zoe and Lewis’ wedding recently. Zoe is just so much fun, the real life and soul of any gathering I would imagine, and her and Lewis’ day was everything a wedding should be – the service was beautiful, and moved everybody (even me!) to tears. The reception was a blast, with so many of their friends and family joining them. I just know that they’ve got a wonderful life together ahead of them.

Here are a few of my favourite photos from the day.

My new sample album

May 8, 2009

I’m in love!!!

I was fortunate to be introduced to a local printing company a while ago. Their work is exceptional quality, and the advantage of them being local really can’t be underestimated. They’re a small, family company who really look after their customers – a perfect fit for Eliza Claire Photography!

This is my new sample album from them, and I’m delighted with it. I know you will be too if you get a chance to see, and more importantly, feel it!

My Boudoir Album

May 3, 2009

Page 09-10 sample

Today, I ordered a sample album from the Boudoir session I did a few weeks ago. I’m so pleased with the layout, and I can’t wait to receive the book!  It’s an 8 inch x 8 inch book from WHCC, with red leather cover.  I’ve seen other people’s albums from WHCC, and I’m sure I’m going to be delighted with the finished product.

Photos of the actual wedding to follow, but the highlight of our day was definitely the reception!
We had such good fun doing this. Basically, we set up a small area during the reception, with studio backdrop and lighting, and then got people to pose – photobooth style – while we snapped away!
I have to thank my 2nd shooter, Rich, for his help with this one.  x

Firstly, I really need to apologise for the distinct lack of blogging lately.  I’ve been burning the candle at both ends (not by partying, just working 80 hour weeks) and it finally took its toll, I’ve been ill for the last fortnight.
However, back at the beginning of March, I had the huge honour of shooting the fantastic, fun wedding of Mel and Karl.  Here are a few of my favourite images from the day:

Loving the details

The Bride Arrives

Mr and Mrs Jones

Isn’t she beautiful!

The speeches

The First Dance (To Me and Mrs Jones, naturally!)

I’ve known of Luke and Hannah since before they were born, having chatted to their mum many, many times online (Luke and Hannah are just a few months younger than Ethan), but I’ve only met them briefly before last weekend’s shoot.  They’re both completely adorable.  Hannah loves posing for the camera, whereas Luke preferred to be looking through the viewfinder (a boy after my own heart!)
They have an amazing bond, which may in part be due to being twins, but is certainly also a testament to their loving parents.
Hannah is simply adorable, and impossible to take a bad photo of!  I love this shot of Luke as well, his personality just shines through!
Thanks to Sue and Gi for your hospitality and for making the time spent with you all so enjoyable.

Newborn Session

March 3, 2009

I had a great morning a week or so ago, photographing Denny.  He’s so cute and behaved impeccably throughout!

Here are a few of my favourite images from the session.

I love my canvas wraps!

November 25, 2008

I contacted a new company that I hadn’t used before, The House of Frames, on Friday to see if they could print me a fairly large canvas, and whether they could do it in a week.

They replied that they could, and they offer their trade customers fantastic deals on sample orders, but their prices are excellent value for money anyway. Richard from House of Frames responded to all my questions quickly and gave me the impression that the company would be a joy to work with.

So I emailed the file to them (via yousendit.com) on Friday afternoon. The canvasses arrived today, and the quality is amazing. My canvas of the bridesmaids feet is 30″ x 8″ and the quality, even though it’s resized, is perfect.

So, if you’re looking for a good canvas company, with excellent customer service and an amazingly fast service, call off the search! This is the answer!

My sister asked me to do some photos for her, of her beauty salon in Sevenoaks, Kent. This is my favourite – probably not one she’ll be using, as she pointed out, it’s not really a shot of her salon, but I just love the textures, colours and the relaxing mood that this conveys.  I think she’ll be using the shots below.
